AutoSignature Generator

The AutoSignature Generator is a tool designed to allow you to generate your own customised signatures based on a common set of templates. For instance, you may want to give all staff in your organisation a consistently formatted AutoSignature within Outlook.

Generate professional signatures in 3 easy steps...
  1. Create your customised Template files based on your corporate document standards.
  2. Run the AutoSignature Generator on your desktop PC's.
  3. Configure Outlook to use the new AutoSignature.
Features
  • Simple, easy to use interface with minimal end-user interaction required.
  • Uses templates to generate Signature files based on the information that is keyed in by the end-user, or retrieved from Active Directory*.
  • Active Directory integration* (in supported environments) for automatic populating of user information.
  • Group Policy support*, for applying consistent settings across your entire organisation, or department-by-department.
  • Configurable 'quiet-mode' for running in Logon Scripts, or as a Scheduled Task.
  • Customisable banner bitmap, to give the application your corporate 'look-and-feel'.

New to version 2.x

  • Simple scripting language to conditionally process parts of a signature file. This can be used to omit parts of a signature template if certain Active Directory values are not defined.
  • Support for looking up over 20 Active Directory fields which can be substituted into signature templates. Fields include Phone, Address, Job Title, Home Page, Department, and many more.
  • Text transformation of substituted values. You can now convert substituted Active Directory values to upper-case, lower-case, or capitalised versions - useful for forcing email addresses to lower-case if auto-generated addresses have capital letters in them.
  • 'Advanced Edit' mode that allows access to edit the extra Active Directory fields. Even if a user does not select the Advanced mode, the additional fields are still available to the AutoSignature Generator for use within signatures.
  • Support for Windows Server 2000/2003 Terminal Servers.
  • Better support for multi-line Active Directory properties (such as Notes and Street Address) in HTML templates.
  • Ability to change the Signatures folder location through Group Policy for non-English versions of Outlook.

* Active Directory and Group Policy features only available for Windows 2000 and later operating systems.
